The most famous alpine road leads you right into the heart of Hohe Tauern National Park, to Austria’s highest mountain, Mount Grossglockner (3,798 m) and its glacier, the Pasterze.

A special kind of nature and driving experience awaits you on 48 kilometres of high alpine road with 36 hairpin bends and an increase in altitude of up to 2,504 meters! You will cross a unique mountain world with blooming alpine meadows, fragrant mountain forests, mighty rocks and perpetual ice all the way to the foot of the Grossglockner, the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Hoehe!
